How lovely to see old photos of Walkern. We lived at number 136 High Street during 1950′s and 60′s I could identify the house from photos 1 and 2! I bet the High Street is somewhat busier now. Mary (Ashurst) and I used to roller skate down the whole length of the High Street without seeing a car.
