Hi
iam researching my family tree and i believe i have an ancestor that was born in Walkern in 1916-1921, name Jasper Smith. Could you tell me what I would need to do to obtain the baptism certificate.
Kind Regards

Hello
I am tracing my antecedents and have arrived at Walkern in 1741, when I see there are a few with our family name. But don’t know where to go from here. I’d like to do more research before coming up to visit… There must be some Bardolphs buried in the Churchyard, I think.
Can you give me any pointers?
Regards
James Bardolph
Just wondering if you had anything on the Wing family who lived in Walkern during the late 1800′s ? William Wing my great grand dad and his dad William Wing and his dad Joseph Wing
Hello.
I am looking for any birth or baptism information about a george castles born in walkern between 1818-1821 parents thomas castles and hannah unknown mothers name need help this is where i have been stuck for some years
Re: Bardolphs
Hi James,
I have come across some Bardolphs on ancestry.co.uk – James and Luce who had several children born in Walkern in 1678 to 1698 onwards. Maybe if you joined up (I think they are doing a 2 weeks trial), you would be able to find your direct line?
There appears to be a continuous line of Bardolphs in Walkern from as I say mid 1600′s atleast up to the late 1800′s from a quick search
Re-George Castles
Have not been able to pick him up on ancestry unfortunately but interestingly there is a Thomas Winters marrying a Hannah Castle in Walkern 7 Oct 1798. One possibility is the evolving of names Castle, Castell, Castells maybe another avenue to explore?
