The picture shown I am certain is the blacksmiths premises in tots lane when I lived in
Walkern back in the 30`s. MR. ROBINSON was the owner at time but previously owned
by my grand father WILLIAM DEARMAN = to the best of my knowledge.
As a boy I spent many hours watching MR ROBINSON making horse shoes and then
fitting these to the horses feet.
I have an oil painting of the inside of the blacksmiths shop painted for my grandfather in 1904
this painting hangs in my livinging room at present .There were two paintings of this done,
the second of which is owned by cousin in melbourne australia. I WENT TO WALKERN SCHOOL
